Steam Vent Elbow
Steam Vent Elbow
This stainless elbow attaches to the 6" TC center lid port on the BREWHA 4-in-1 fermenters (1.5BBL, 3BBL, 5BBL, 7BBL) and has a 6" hose barb. With the lid slightly elevated and through use of an inline fan and steam tolerant ducting, steam vapor from the boil can be drawn away and directed outside the building or into a condenser.
A 6" steam hose to connect the vent to a fan and/or vent can be purchased here.
Not shown in this photo but all new Steam Vents come with a 1.5" TC ferrule on the underside near the hose barb, to capture condensate coming back down the line. A hose barb and hose (not included) can be attached here to run condensate down to the ground—so it doesn't go back into your boil.
Note: if steam cannot be vented outside, a Steam Condenser can be used instead. Steam from the boil passes through tubes, and tap water surrounded the tubes condenses the steam which drops to the floor (or into a bucket).
