This exceptional water, beer and wort chiller for brewing systems can regulate fermentation temperature by pumping cold water through the jacket of the conical fermenter. They can also lower wort temperature post-boil when warm municipal water can't finish the job (the 3000BTU Chiller has beer coils that can chill beer in-line from keg to tap; the 6500BTU Chiller has no beer coils, but two water circulation pumps to regulate up to two different tanks when combined with an ETC temperature controller). A few of their many features include:

  • designed by Lindr for professional beverage cooling in restaurants, bars and the catering industry
  • powerful circulation pump with a displacement of 26' / 8m
  • minimum energy usage
  • 45% more efficient than its power input
  • cooling coils made from stainless steel
  • materials meet the highest requirements for hygiene standards and long working life
  • adjustable temperature control with 7 different settings for the water bath (ice bank-10°C/50°F); the temperature inside the tank being chilled will vary based on the amount of volume being chilled, the ambient temperature and humidty, and the degree of insulation on the hoses and tank (see note below for temperature estimates; only use the chiller on its coldest setting if the pump is circulating continuously, otherwise the ice bank will form and can seize the impeller)
  • dimensions L 17"/42cm x W 24"/61cm x H 19"/48cm (3000BTU) (H 21"/53cm for 6500BTU)

Tap water or another chilling water source should be used for removing the large heat load post boil and this chiller used for maintaining fermentation temperature. Since this is a water chiller, it is not designed to crash cool near or below freezing temperatures but can get beer down within a few degrees of freezing if not fighting large ambient heat loads. Replacement parts for the Lindr water chillers can be purchased here.

The chiller heavy duty utility cart is a sturdy (226kg/500lb load capacity) cart that allows you to easily move your water chiller around your brew space. It also comes with two additional shelves and removable side rails that provide a convenient space to store fittings and hoses.

The 'Hoses connecting water chiller to fermenter jacket' include two 8' lengths of 1/2" high-temp braided silicone hose and three 1.5" tri-clamp by 1/2" hose barbs, one 3/8" hose barb to insert in the pump hose (to connect the silicone hose) and with the 6500BTU chiller an IEC to 5-15 power cord adapter to plug the circulation pump into the Hand Held Digital Electronic Temperature Controller (ETC). This will enable you to easily connect your chiller pump to a fermenter jacket (and from jacket back to chiller reservoir) for circulating cooling water through the fermenter to maintain fermentation temperature. Individual water hose kits can be purchased here.

Note: Under normal room temperature (20°C/70°F) and humidity (50%), the 6500BTU chillers on the coldest setting can bring our uninsulated tanks (3-in-1 and 4-in-1) down to about 6°C/45°F. With neoprene insulation they can lower the tanks down to about 4°C/40°F. With our polyurethane, permanently-insulated tanks (5-in-1), and insulated hose lines, they can lower the tank temperature to about 2°C/36°F.

Water, Beer and Wort Chiller

This unit is versatile with several functions which makes it a better deal than just a single function glycol cooler. The best part about this cooler is you can use standard water which does not contaminate your BIAC cooling jacket as I like to use the jacket water for sparging during brewing.

Wow

Remember Boys, this is a chiller and is not meant to chill Wort down to pitching temps. (unless you can wait a hour). Also, needs to be modified to US voltage with the plugs needing to be changed over and a 220/110 converter............too much of a pain for this price...........

Dear Rick, thank you for your feedback. The 240V Stainless Chiller is a 220/240V Chiller and requires 220/240V power. To use the 240V Chiller with 110/120V a transformer is needed as indicated above. A link to a $75 transformer in included in the production description above. As we mention in the website, the Chillers are excellent for maintaining fermentation temperature. For chilling wort from boiling temperature, tap water or a large volume of pre-chilled cold water should be used.

Chiller review

It work as is describe, it chill down after boil from 170 Fahrenheit to 67 in 20 minutes, in the 30 celsius degree weather (local tropical weather) it maintain precisely the goal temperature during the 2 weeks of fermentation!!!
