Mash Colander Tipping Cable

This cable kit is to be used with the BREWHA Mash Colander for creating a fixed line (attach one end around the hoist neck or trolley bar) in order to empty the Mash Colander of grain after the mash period has ended.

With the lower shackle attached to the shackle ring on the underside of the Mash Colander, as the Colander is lowered by the hoist, the Tipping Cable goes tight and causes the Mash Colander to tip over as it is lowered.

A bin can be positioned under the Mash Colander and the spent grain/grist dumped directly into the bin removing much of the manual labor required by traditional mash tuns.

This Mash Colander Tipping Cable kit includes:

• 4m/13' of 1/8" stainless aviation cable 
• Copper 1/8" sleeves
• Stainless extra heavy duty 1/8" wire clips
• Stainless 1/8" long links
• Stainless thimbles

Requires assembly. The assembled end should be secured around the hoist neck or trolley bar, and the unfinished end cut and finished (with a thimble, long link and clips) so that the Mash Colander is suspended horizontally about 15cm/6" above the height of your grain disposal bin (this allows a slight decline of the Colander so grain empties into the bin with minimal effort.
