Benefits of electricity over gas in brewing system
Boiling double batches (e.g. larger than 18L) cannot easily be done on a kitchen stove. Due to the relatively low power supply heating large volumes of water takes a long time. To heat your water in a reasonable amount of time one is either required to use a gas (propane) setup or install electric heating elements. BREWHA vessels easily accommodate electric heating elements. Here are a few reasons as to why electric is better:

- Easier precise control of temperature.
- Safer for indoor brewing: No poisonous gases, no emissions. Brewing indoors with gas requires more than 10 times the ventilation, making installation very costly.
- Absolutely silent: The bigger gas burners required for brewing sound like jet engines.
- Much more efficient use of energy: 5500W heating elements producing ~20,000 BTUs of heat outperform an 80,000 BTU propane burner.
- No tanks to refill.
- Cheaper to run: In most locations the cost to brew with natural gas is 2-3 times higher than electricity, while propane is 5-10 times higher.
In our years of selling brewing equipment (and just brewing prior to that) we haven't heard of one brewer who, after switching to electric, wished they were still using gas.

Hi Ken,
Thank you for your kind words.
The ferrule cannot be easily changed, but a 1.5" to 2" reducer can be used to connect 2" hardware. In fact, the Condensing Assembly is all 2" and connects to the 3-in-1 with just such a piece.
For pricing, the best way to get the most accurate figure is to put the items you want in the cart and prior to payment, you will see the total and the shipping options you have. (Calgary is one of a number of cities where our carrier has a freight terminal so you even have the option of picking your order up locally for a very reasonable price.)
Sincerely,
Nathan
Hi,
I’ve been comparing your system and Spiedel’s Braumeister. I like your condenser option… very creative!
Can you tell me if the lid ferrules can be changed from 1.5 to 2 inches?
Also, I’m located in Calgary. Can you tell me what the total price in CDN $ would be for the medium system with a condenser assembly, large hop basket and keg connection kit, including shipping?
Thanks,
Ken
