Kombucha Fermenter Complete System 720L/190USG (5BBL)

Kombucha Fermenter with two 6" ports and a removable lid (580L 154 gallon 5 BBL batch size) is a stainless jacketed conical fermenter with power controller and heating equipment and is the simplest way to brew the best kombucha!

Includes:

• 720L/190 gallon gross volume 5-in-1 fermenter
• Programmable, variable output, touchscreen power controller with six heaters
• Premium six 5.5kW stainless steel electric water heaters
• Three 30L/8 gallon filter baskets
• To add additional capacity, just add one of our 5 BBL Kombucha Conical Fermenters with heaters (second main controller is not needed as one can use the main controller on brew day; if one wants control of heating water or tea in the second fermenter during brewing fermentation, a small single-heater tabletop power controller can be added

Boiling water in the same vessel that tea is brewed in ensures the environment is sanitary for the SCOBY when it is added and will result in the most consistent, best tasting kombucha brew. (During the boil process transfer a cup or two of boiled tea through the bottom and side ports to ensure they are fully sanitized; this can be added back into the main vessel.)

Adding cold water through the fermentor jacket at end of the brew process after the boil enables rapid cool down of tea. A quick stir of the water (use a boiled spoon) or bubbling oxygen up through the bottom port will ensure even temperatures throughout the water / tea before adding SCOBY. Fermentation can occur in either oxygen/aerobic or anaerobic environment as one of the ports on the tank lid can be left open during the fermentation process (covered with small pore covering) and then sealed for carbonation and the brew tank fermenter used as a brite tank. 

Note: The 5 BBL system comes with a Programmable Touchscreen Controller that is hardwired into a 175A(1Ph)/125A(3Ph) breaker panel. It can also be used to heat during fermentation (keep output power below 3% during fermentation).
